迦納的音樂引擎不是靠單一廠牌在跑。從地方廣播到舞池，這個國家靠的是 Afrobeats、Highlife、Hiplife 和 dancehall 的碰撞。這是一個生態系，霸權在阿克拉街頭建立、一首一首歌上榜，並由那些花了十幾年鞏固播放清單的歌手們維繫。
這聲音的核心是 Shatta Wale 和 Stonebwoy。在 MUSIGA 排行榜上，Stonebwoy 以四首活躍歌曲拿下歌手第六名，接著是 Shatta Wale 以三首排名第七。兩位歌手在曲風之間切換的同時，都牢牢鎖住地方排行榜。
Shatta Wale，本名 Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr.，出生於阿克拉，仍是迦納 dancehall 最知名的名字之一。當地人稱他為非洲 dancehall 之王，他獨立製作和策劃大部分作品，大部分熱門歌曲都是自己錄音和混音。Graphic Online 指出，2025 年屬於 Shatta Wale，還有 Wendy Shay 和 Black Sherif，部分歸功於他的單曲〈Street Crown〉，這首歌成為年度代表作品之一，並在 Soundcharts 的迦納 Audiomack 排行榜上持續熱播。他的作品庫涵蓋〈Ayoo〉、〈ON GOD〉和〈Pancake〉等本地常勝軍，一路追溯到更早的〈Fool Is The Last To Know〉和 2018 年的〈Bullet Proof〉。正如一位 YouTube 觀眾在〈Bullet Proof〉下方留言：「我來自奈及利亞但我愛 shatta Wale 的音樂，拜託給 shatta Wale 點讚。」Shatta Wale 隨後透過他的 Shatta Movement Empire 發行 African King，將〈God of the Universe〉等歌曲送進 Apple Music 迦納 Top 200，之後再推出單曲〈One More Year〉，並與奈及利亞歌手 Tekno 和 Bankuli 合作他的 Afrobeats 專輯 Konekt。
Stonebwoy（Livingstone Etse Satekla）在 Greater Accra 的 Ashaiman 同樣擁有一群死忠粉絲。他從 Adom FM 的 Kasahare Level 饒舌選秀節目崛起，加上 2012 年的〈Climax〉和〈Ghetto Love〉等早期夯歌，創立了 Burniton Music Group，並打造出一系列作品，包括 Grade 1、Necessary Evil 以及 2017 年的 Epistles of Mama。那個時期誕生了像與 Damaris 合作的〈One Thing〉和熱門曲〈Bawasaaba〉等必聽歌。在〈Bawasaaba〉的影片底下，有樂迷留言：「還有誰也支持 Stonebwoy 就是才華洋溢？#EOM #Bawasaaba #BHIM🔥🔥。」Stonebwoy 2023 年的專輯 5th Dimension 把他的音樂推向 Afropop 和 amapiano，也為單曲〈Jejerje〉鋪路，這首歌在迦納的 YouTube 和 Apple Music 排行榜都攻頂。他 2024 年的專輯 UP & RUNNIN6 由 Warner Music Group 的 ADA Worldwide 發行，找來 ODUMODUBLVCK、Duncan Mighty 和 Spice 跨刀，而單曲〈Many Times〉則持續在當地 Audiomack 的播放清單上佔有一席之地。
這裡的夜店播放清單也經常融入海外僑民和區域性的聲音。英國-迦納裔歌手 Eugy Official 出生於迦納，之後移居倫敦，以 2016 年與 Mr Eazi 合作的〈Dance for Me〉、2017 年由 Team Salut 製作的〈Tick Tock〉，以及收錄在南非歌手 Siza 的 Flavourz EP 中、由她跨刀的〈Captain〉，成為夜店必播。在〈Tick Tock〉的影片底下，有觀眾留言：「我覺得 Eugy 被低估了，超級被低估。」Siza 在〈Captain〉之後推出她的首支個人 MV〈Say What You Want〉，找來 Eugy 合作，後來又在 2019 年發行 Pull Up EP。Eugy 則在五首歌的 Home Run EP 中直接取經阿克拉的在地聲音，與 Kumasi 的 Jhay Bhad 合作 drill 曲目〈Show Me The Light〉，並與 DanceGod Lloyd 合作〈BumBumBum〉，之後陸續推出 2024 年的〈He Called Me〉和 2025 年的〈God Is Good〉等近期單曲。
奈及利亞歌手 Falz 和 D’Banj 也依然深深融入迦納的演出圈。Falz 在2018年於阿克拉舉行的 AFRIMA 奪下最佳非洲饒舌歌手獎，當時他剛從法律轉戰音樂，之後與 Medikal 和 Maleek Berry 合作2018年的〈Next〉，並與 Kwabena Kwabena 一同登上〈Ghana Jollof〉。他後來發行了2025年專輯The Feast以及2026年 EP Break Time。D’Banj 的早期根基可追溯至2004年在 Kas 的錄音室與 Don Jazzy 一起錄音，2018年推出〈Action〉的 MV，並持續在 club 演出，帶來2024年專輯The Entertainer: D’Sequel以及2025年與 DJ Maphorisa、DJ OBI 合作的〈Tobari〉。
這波輪替背後有深厚的歷史撐著。Highlife 起源於19世紀末至20世紀初的黃金海岸，是現代性與反抗的表現，而1990年代 Reggie Rockstone 將饒舌、當地方言和街頭語彙與 Highlife、Dancehall 融合，開創了 hiplife。在今日 MUSIGA 的曲目統計上，Sarkodie、KiDi 和 Kuami Eugene 穩坐前段班，並有2025年 Telecel Ghana Music Awards 等活動襯托。跨國爆紅的時刻也曾發生——Black Sherif 的〈Kwaku the Traveller〉創下歷史，成為第一首攻佔 Apple Music 奈及利亞榜冠軍的迦納歌曲，Shatta Wale 則透過與 Beyoncé 的合作觸及國際聽眾。不過，當地場景現在的脈動，還是屬於那些稱霸家鄉輪播的曲目，由 Black Sherif 2025年發行的〈Sacrifice〉以及 D Global 和 Lasmid 的〈Darkest Style〉領軍。

The Caribbean is now another happy recipient of the progeny of Africans whose musical talents were plundered without ever receiving payment, let alone recognition. This reinvigoration of Africentric music by real Africans is now what African Americans need to pull ourselves out of the entertainment trap set by the sex-starved, Molech-worshipping, Ashkenazi leaders, who have a disgusting knack of capturing our talent when we are at our best and brightest, sexualizing not just what we sing, but sexualizing us too.
The ancestors have now sent some of her children to wake us up. Those of us who are intelligent enough to listen will heed the words of these musical griots and adjust our music to fit the spiritual needs of continental Africans and Africans in the Diaspora by relearning the languages, words, stories -- and above all, the music that has kept us alive, even when we did not know it.
Please . . . let us open our hearts and arms to African performers so that our talents are no longer sexualized by Hollywood. We owe that to ourselves and our children.
